Dr. Elizabeth Polak is a board‑certified periodontist and implant specialist with extensive experience in both civilian and military dental care. She brings a patient‑centered, evidence‑based approach to periodontal therapy, implant dentistry, and advanced surgical techniques.
Dr. Polak earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Midwestern University before completing a residency in Periodontology at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School, where she also earned a Master of Science in Oral Biology. Over the course of her Navy career, she served as a general dentist, infection control officer, and ultimately as a periodontist and department head at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center. She continues to serve in the United States Navy Reserve.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Polak is committed to advancing the profession through teaching and research. She has taught AEGD residents, lectured at professional societies, and presented research at national and international dental meetings. Her award‑winning research has contributed to advancements in site preservation techniques.
Dr. Polak maintains numerous advanced certifications, including IV sedation, LANAP, Wilckodontics, and Platelet‑Rich Fibrin (PRF) therapy. She is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, and multiple regional study clubs.
